A light apple green liquor with a touch of sweetness. The single buds are plucked at dawn when the protective hairs are erect, producing a silvery downy bud to the touch. The fragile leaf is carefully dried and ensuring it retains it’s natural flavours and antioxidants.
This unique tea comes to you from the famed Dimbula planting district of Sri Lanka. These single tea buts are picked by experiences tea pickers and carefully transported to the processing center, where it is sun dried for several days, and sorted to ensure only the finest buds are packed for sale.
The buds for this tea are harvested from a special variety of tea plant, with each worker harvesting only 400g to 600g per day as opposed to 20kg per day per worker, for regular tea. It takes approximately 8kg of these buds to produce 1Kg of Silver needles. The result is a tea of exceptional quality, offering a rare and refined taste experience.
