These 3 carton selection packs contain 3 very different single estate dry season manufacture teas, each carton is 125 g nett wt. Dry season teas are a totally different quality product to the usual blended commercial UK teas. All three of these teas are made during the night in order to preserve the heavy volatile oils during rolling that develop the flavours.

UVA LIGHT F.B.O.P. A larger flowery loose leaf grade form the higher Uva elevations, giving a lighter coloured liquor with classic Uva seasonal flavour & aroma.

Natural EARL GREY F.B.O.P. A large flowery loose leaf grade selected from two different estates to balance the Natural Bergamot oil that sinely sprayed over the leaf.
NUWARA ELIYA F.B.O.P. A larger loose leaf grade from over 6.000 feet elevation which is a classic Nuwara Eliya district, light coloured brew with excellent clightly citrus flavour & aroma. Recommend to drink without milk.
Bio/Organic IDDULGASHINNA O.P.1 Spl A special green tea manufacture producing this very large loose leaf well twisted long leaf grade. A superb softer Chinese type green tea, sometimes described as peaty or spiced, according to the consumers palate. The estate is community owned.

These 3 carton selection packs contain 3 very different single estate dry season manufacture teas, each carton is 125 g nett wt. Dry season teas are a totally different quality product to the usual blended commercial UK teas.
PACK F:
SPICED TEA or 'CHAI' F.B.O.P. A large flowery loose leaf grade specially selected to balance the SIX locally grown cut spices that are layered through the tea. At first use a small amount of leaf & then build to your palate. Can be served as a traditional Chai with instructions on teh carton.
KENILWORTH O.P. 1 A thicker (Malty) type of liquor with a slightly floral character.
GREEN KANDYAN BLOOMS SPL This is a very specialist manufacture where 12 specially trained pluckers have selected the bud & two leaves required & the factory rolling programme was designed to retain as many whole shoots as possible without cutting them, so that they would unfold on brewing. The leaf is from the Kandy area, having more colour than Iddulgashinna and a slightly stronger taste.

0414 Uva Seasonal Best Dark - Loose Tea - 125 g (4.4 oz) - White Wood Box

Winner of a Gold Award in 2005 at the annual Great Taste Awards.
A SINGLE estate seasonal tea from the world famous UVA district that lies in the undulating mountains to the East of the main central mountain area.
The season starts in late July with a cool Cachan wind blowing in over the ocean from the East, combining with the hot dry weather at this time to produce the amazing Uva character.
The Uva Best Dark, alludes to tyhe eact that at this time of year we have selected the estate that in our opinion has develeoped to its best potential & is at around 3,00 feet in elevation which will produce a coloury Uva which can take milk if required. Manufactured during the night to retain the volatile flavour oils expressed from the leaf at this time of year.
The tea will be beautifully balanced with a flowery aroma & flavour.

0353 Lover's Leap F.B.O.P. - Loose Tea - 125 g (4.4 oz) - White Wood Box
Also known as the MAHAGASTOTA mark.

This is a classic SINGLE estate Ceylon Nuwara Eliya which is grown at well over 6,000 feet in elevation and the plucking took place in the Western Quality Season in February. It is only possible to manufacture this light liquoring quality & character in the month of February. Unfortunately 2008 was not of a suitably high quality as the wind was not strong enough and so we have relied on 2007 stocks. Hopefully 2009 will produce the acceptable weather conditions needed for the quality that we seek.
The liquor whilst light in colour is well developed in flavour & character having a slight citrus flavour & aroma. A real classic from the Nuwara Eliya district.
