Flavoured & Spiced Teas

We do not lower our standards in the teas that we source for these teas and in fact the balance of the tea to the natural flavours that we use require very careful selection fom the estates that we select.
As already mentioned above we only use NATURAL flavour oils where these are required.

All Ceylon teas are subject to extremely tight rules on any use of pesticides or herbicides & there is a clear policy that any new pesticide or herbicide intended for import to the island must first pass evaluation by the Tea Research Institute over several years before any importation licence is approved.

This is because the island has practiced Bio culture in tea since the 1980's & they are recorded as being the cleanest teas in the world under successive International residue tests.

2005 Jasmine Blossoms - Green Tea - 1 Kilo (2.2 Lbs) Foil Pouch2005 Jasmine Blossoms - Green Tea - 1 Kilo (2.2 Lbs) Foil Pouch
This is a special manufacture green tea with Jasmine blossoms that are layered through the tea.
This is a Single Esatate green tea with the leaf curled into a ball shape by a special heat application process. This is traditionally a fairly pungent green type & therefore do not use too much leaf or brew for too long. We would suggest 1 - 2 teaspoons of leaf to a 6 cup pot.
Heat the freshly drawn water to 80 - 90 degrees C (176 - 194 degrees F)
Once the heated water has been poured on to the leaf, stir vigoursly for a couple times to ensure that the leaf rises from the bottom of the pot.
Brew for up to 3 minutes.
