The Handbook of Tea - By Jean-Marie MaulerThe Handbook of Tea - By Jean-Marie Mauler
I have been offered the opportunity to stock the above excellent book by the author which covers all aspects of tea production in different regions.
The book is a hard back book printed on Biberist Furioso 135 g paper and published in Switzerland. The quality of the publication is extremely good and the colour photography excellent. It covers the field operations, manufacture systems of teas in different countries, the background to the teas & variations in brewing technique.
Should any trade outlets be interested in stocking the book for sale please contact me direct as I have a press release CD which can be made available on loan.

Summary of the Latest Research into the Properties of Green & Black TeasSummary of the Latest Research into the Properties of Green & Black Teas
TEA FOR HEALTH By Dr. Tissa Amarakoon

Summary of the latest researches into the properties of Green & Black teas from around the world and in particular the work by Dr. Amarakoon of the Tea Research Institute (TRI) of Sri Lanka (Ceylon).
Interestingly it shows that both Green and Black teas have equal health giving properties and benefits.
This is important as up to now, Green tea has been trumpeted as the health giving tea. Black tea has now been put under the microscope as research has progressed on all teas. However please note that this research is only applicable to 'CAMELLIA SINENSIS' or true tea.
There are some provisos which react on and degenerate these properties. Firstly method of manufacture, time of year for manufacture and how the teas are packed or stored.
Dry weather seasonal teas have high levels of theaflavins and it is important to seal these in straight from manufacture before they can be degraded.

I recommend this booklet for the clear way in which it explains the subject.
This item is again repeated and shown in GIFTS under Miscellaneous items 'Interesting Books on Tea'.
